Hello:
I am the developer of the mod. Iron sights are not going to be used. These shots were done for testing purposes, mostly place holders.
No gameplay videos have been shown yet (obviously). What you see are random test I did
for "Doom 3 custom iron sights system", nothing releated to the mod.
However, there is a zoom function for sniper rifles.
The project itself isn't really demanding, in fact, it needs less resources than Doom 3 game overall.
I just wanted to make it clear.

I guess it won't come anytimes soon or be any good because splashdamage sucks in making games

his not a splash damage guy, he is just a member of id tech 4 modders and omnious energy studios< according to his profile groups

Would be cool if they somehow improve performance. Otherwise i dont see how this will improve the game or make it more atractive for other ppl.

It's a new engine. So it will more likely give FPS improvement for everyone. ET's current engine only supports 1 core (of a processor) and almost doesn't use the graphic card.
The X-real engine will mainly use the graphic card and supports dual core.
but the problem with the X-real engine is, that they have to remake every mod / map of ET, this will take a really long time.

Anyway i don't see how this could do much good for the game since it's only a mod and people will have to download it to use it and even with the Xreal thing the game still looks shitty and nobody plays the game to have good graphics :s
