ps. bady i see what u mean, metallica have got a cuple of songs on the edge 2 metal, but ofc its not like 80's hardrock, hardrock grew and became harder during the 90's

Metal is a genre of rock music but there are a lot of subgenres! U can't say its only metal, that's too blurred!
Some metal subgenres : Black metal - Death metal - Doom metal - Power metal - Progressive metal - Speed metal - Symphonic metal - Thrash metal - Viking metal - Alternative metal ... and there are lots of others but u must know that


And metallica makes music since the beginning of the 80'! So ofc, in 30 years, they didn't make thrash metal for each songs, but originally, that's a thrash metal band, not hard rock!

why i only said metal is cuz i wasnt talking about a specific song. metallica have made songs that has alot of old folk music in it so that would be "folk metal" then, not thrash.

anyway, metallica is supposed 2 be a metal band, just like black eyed peas is supposed 2 be a hiphop group. but they both had there breakthrew wile "going pop" and this made them change...

metallica has a way 2 clean sound 2 be called a thrash metal band, i can meet you halfway and call them a pop metal band...
