I have bf3 in my ps3

After I have played this game in PS3 over 100 hours I can safely say that Rubenos is right. It sucks on consoles.

Servers are full most evenings, unless you are playing with friends nobody talks in your squad, if you kill one of the admins you are kicked etc. Dualshock is ok, but the aiming is so much harder than mouse + keyboard. The rest of the story is the same as in every other game including ET. Try to play with a team consisting of 16 players and 14 of them are snipers...

But all in all, this is one of the better offerings out there and competes strongly against other games like MW3, Uncharted, KZ3, Ghost Recon... (and all those gamers have their haters. Including BF3). If you have a change to play this on PC the experience is better. More players, graphics, sounds etc.

I am playing this on PS3 for a single reason. I have friends among the players and I have been playing in our local OGS bunch (Old Gamers Society ) which consists of players over 30 (lol).

I am not too exited about the downloadable content for the game. Close Quarters did not work on PS3 at all. Hitboxes are wierd and it automatically installs an aimbot of a sorts to you. Controls are too rotten to work otherwise. Maybe the heavy duty maps and vehicles will make the game more interesting this autumn but it may not work with only 16 vs 16 teams.

Ah, first long post in awhile. I wait for a pc at the moment and shall visit the WAR-server when I have the time and opportunity.

and to return to the topic about BF3 I tried to play with some friends a game of Bad Company 2 and it still works much better on PS3. Aiming works much better and maps are done with the limitations of consoles in mind.
BF3 is maybe a bit too much for the hardware of the PS3 and it kicks players out from time to time. This may be the problem of EA and DICE as their servers for the game seems to fall to pieces on many occations. I have not tried to play this on Xbox360 but I have heard similar things from there too.

No PC with Windows at the moment, so no idea how it works.

The only fun part on console is flying jets. All in all its a good game. But what makes me go crazy evertime is this hit detection. Worst i have ever seen in my live, dunno about console but its realy bad on PC.

I like to fly choppers. Jets are too fast for me unless you fly with A-10 or that russian plane.
Hit detection works really bad on consoles too. I was shot with a pistol from 250 meters by a player shooting to get through class doors...

But ye, not a bad game. MAG is still the king of PS3 shooters though.

I'm on BF3 ( PC ) since march, since i made my new pc ( more than 500 hour till now ).
For me this game is awesome. why ?
Just because it's a team game, or squad game, you can try to frag on a obj map, but you will not do that for a long time, because against you there will be a squad of 4 players.
So with good communication you can do a great job, don't need TS or Skype or something else , BF 3 has a good tool for that, include in the battlelog.
You have also a lots of mode to choose, so you can play what you want , 2 more modes to come , in december 2012 and in march 2013.
I like jet and chopper , exept when someone is too good in it ;-)
Tank can do a great job, but never alone, better 2 in.
What bored me a little is the Spot tool.
A little problem too is the fact that there is no much admin online, there is a lot of suspicious players, and that !votekick thing doesn't work at each time
I don't talk about graphics, it is Wouahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. If you have a decent PC of course.
Hit boxes are different than ET, and as said earlier , there is a lot of noob in frag.

ET isn't a squad game and has no choppers!!! That must change....

Most of my friends who play BF3 play HC-mode these days. Spotting last only for a few seconds and unless you are a sniper you tend to move a alot and is not very effective.

ET is suffering (at least on my part) from many great games out there. Bordelands 2, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, BF3, Gears of War 3, Halo Reach and many others are in the way.

I am making a new PC still as I got this handy card in order to record some videos and I need at least reasonable powerfull PC to be able to make them.

I play in PSN and if there are WAR-members who have PS3 you can add me as a friend there.
