Top-10 video games

Think quick. List 10 games that have had an impact on your life. No need to add videos like I did. Just a simple list

1. Omega Race.
A Game by Bally Midway, the famed maker of pinball machines.


2. Nethack.
Roguelike games without any special graphics were and are still fun.
Speedrun.


3. Wings.
Great simulation and it included other modes of playing so this was not just a simulator.


4. King's Bounty.
This turned later into the Heroes of Might and Magic series.


5. Advance Wars.
The Game was first done for SNES as Famicon Wars. But my First exposure was in GBA. This vid is from Advance Wars 2.


6. Laser Squad.
This great game heavily influenced the UFO (or X-Com) games.


7. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Zelda ftw!


8. Metal Gear Solid
Solid Snake!


9. Leather Goddesses of Phobos.
Text based game where leather goddesses of Phobos are trying to enslave all men to be their (sex) slaves.
Great fun (and I mean the storyline here!)


10. Ports of Call.
This was the first manager type games I tried. No football manager game has beaten this yet.

Can you explain me why you like driftwood his list? Because 7/10 games are releast before you were born. So I guess your judging the lists well you didn't even play the games that are on them, which proofs your comment is useless.

First i didnt say your games cant be good,i said i hate it cause they re fashion games(commercial if you prefer,like gta shittest gta ever,you can argue with me the quality of this one if you want i got many arguments),so read to learn before insulting when you re mad,its not bout oldeness because you too got some old games, its bout creativity,create something with own soul and something different,thats not my fault if most of old game were more creative,but i wrote mgs3 how old woah...and wanted to write cod4,Re 4 but i changed my mind,and psone,ps2 games arent that old,only games i found different on this gen is mass effect and bioshock,but they arent that novator.+you can notice that many games of my list are rpg's,and sorry but rpg in this generation sucks,you must agree
+i played 5 or 6 games from drift cause i put emulators on my psp and anyway 3 of his games are my favourite games too

Dragon age and mass effect 1 & 2 both have alot of hearts in them and great gameplay + storyline since Bioware made them. Bioware also maid Kotor..

i agree,but we cant say that bioware or obsidian do really novator games,hum ye maybe mass effect got something different,i cant say this game isnt good,but i cant say this game is part of my life

First of all I am not mad. I just said your comment is useless because the lists are based on people's opinions.

And I don't like RPG games so I can't argue with you about that. About GTA it used to be a unique sandbox game.
GTA San Andreas is in my list because I had so much fun playing that game with kayos.

And if I watch your list you got like 3 times Final Fantasy. Aint that a commercial game just as fifa,cod series?

I should not have placfed those videos on the list...
My intention was to list first ten games that comes into your mind which you remember and thus have made some impact on you.

I tend to pick those older games cause I grew up with them.
Ports of Call I would like to replace by much better game known as M.U.L.E.
and where is my old favourite Paradroid...

But there are always those games I really like. Metal Gear Solid 1-4, System Shock 1&2, Monkey Island 1&2, Grim Fandango and multitudes of others. And I cannot put them all on top10.

And Bananas has the right idea. Most of the better console rpg's were done at the beginning of the 90s. PC rpg's have really risen after the 2000 (Bioware, Bethesda etc) and I have played most console rpg's on emulator or on GBA / DS
And new versions will come. There is even now a rumour about the first Halo remake coming...

Keep those top10 lists coming There is always a game or two I have missed.

drift:not only beginning 90's,but whole 90's,because rpg japs rocked in psone so snes,dreamcast and psone are THE consoles for rpg's

But I think I get your point you don't like games that aren't original. I think almost everygame in the list from bitchy and me is kinda orginal, except fifa of course.

ps:final fantasy 6 and 7 arent commercial,those are one of the best rpg ever,final fantasy start to be commercial after the 10.

At first it had nothing to do with "hate". You said the games were to new and commercial for you and thats why you "hate" them.
