Well dude you just said the magic answer. Red Alert 1,2 weren't commercial. Fifa 1998,1999,2004 weren't commercial games. Driver was not commercial. Starcraft 2 is not commercial. L4D2 is not commercial. Total annhilation is not commercial. But they are to recent......

But I still don't know what you mean with commercial. Becauses Final Fantasy 7 is not commercial but the version released after it are commercial.....

Can you explain why Age of empires 2 is not commercial and Red Alert 2 is commercial for example?

Or are the games not creative? Can you tell me a game that is the same as Bioshock? Or mass efect 1,2?|
Or Red Alert 1 and Total annhilation? or Driver?

Bananas like 70-80 precent in your list is also commerical, the companies makes games to earn money and nothing else... Stop caring about if the concept if new or not. A good game is a good game no matter it age or concept.

Final Fantasy always uses the same concept ( I never played games like Final Fantasy but they all look the same to me, I saw kayos playing these games)
Comparing Resident Evil and Bioshock . I played both games and they are imo totally different.
Also Red Alert is older then Age of Empires. And your saying that there is almost no difference between Red Alert 1 and Red Alert 2 makes me blush :$
About starcraft 2. I am fine with you calling it commercial, but I never played starcraft so its a new game for me. Also releasing a second version of a game after 13 years is not really commercial if you ask me.
Left 4 Dead 2 really felt like a new game to me, its coop you can play as zombie etc etc..

And no its not my turn I never said that those games weren't creative. Also I can't judge all of them simply because I didn't play them.
I also have a different definition of "commercial games". Games like call of duty, fifa, nba are imo commercial games they have a new version every year.

Old Topic but i want to share with you guys my Top 10 list. I grew with those games:
1- Mario (Every super Mario games from NES till SNES including Mario Kart)
2- Donkey Kong Country (All 3)
3- Mortal Kombat for SNES (i still love those fatalities)
4- Grand Turismo 1,2 (Ps1)
5- Sleed Storm (Ps1)
6- Twisted Metal (PS1)
7- ET (Finally one of my first games on PC on 2003)
8- Need for speed Undercover 1.2 (PC)
9- Pokemon (damn,i still play pokemon, i dont like the new ones for Nintendo DS)
10-Metro 2033 (2010 game release, i still think its the best FPS game ever created)

But the game that marked my childhood was without any doubt Donkey Kong Country all 3... That game had everything,imagination, beautiful,awesome enemies, and i loved every single part...
If i had a choice to go back on the passed and change my childhood i just would do it the same way.
