My 2 cents here..
I think a big problem with introducing new maps, is that they are new.. People dont want to re-learn objectives and adjust their ''habits and playstyle''. So in principle i think completely new maps will always fail (the BIG exception is non-obj/frag maps)
I personally would love to get in rotation ''Fragmaze_fixed'' again, from what i remember the map was always reasonably popular, and a fun (short) frag-map is a nice alternative to normal obj maps. What, for me, sets Fragmaze_fixed apart from other fragmaps is that it was still very enjoyable with a high amount of people on the server.
I also very much liked sos-secret-weapon to be honest, its a nice combination of objective and fragmap.
The only map that i currently really really dislike is Snatch3, it simply seems incredibly unbalanced in favor of Axis. The problem is that axis just have a giant free-shooting range right from their base/spawn, covering all area's and entry-points making it impossible for allies to win when Axis put in the smallest defensive-effort. (something like a giant wall down the middle of the axis-area would make it much better hehe)

I think changing fragmaze and purefrag for an other map has a high priority now, imo mario is better map cause of flag capturing. ppl vote to often for the fragmaps and ppl leaving then... noticed it yesterday and today.

Well a fragmap is a fragmap, even with the mario one next to nobody plays objective. And fragmaze seems to be the by far most popular fragmap in my experience. I still do think that the rare fragmap is a good thing (just for the sake of ''something else for a few minutes'', especially when under 8 players.. I'd love to see the map-time shortened severely though, and perhaps a rule that your not allowed to play that map twice after eachother(or something like that)

as the people have talked there will be no way that these maps will be added because no one has time to test them and people will start do cry becus its obj map and big and the little people like to play camp maps wich are short and easy to frag

Feel i should correct myself here now Wario* does seem to be quite popular, and (enough) people do play for the objective. Best thing is that the map cant last longer than 10 minutes, so i stand corrected..curbo wrote:
